Hayles said. &#8220;The atmosphere had only a small amount of oxygen and the environment was arguably much warmer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;Knowing how well microbial life thrived tells us what to expect on a hypothetical planet with a similar environment,&#8221;
