Professor Masaya Sawamura of Hokkaido University&#8217;s Institute for Chemical Reaction Design and Discovery (WPI-ICReDD) explains, &#8220;The chemical materials obtained in this way are limited to those with fairly simple structures, and in order to synthesize useful compounds, multi-step processes are necessary.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"newspaper-x-video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Catalyst with iridium-based catalytic core\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8biUStYYLtA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
