Kathmandu \u2014 The third Tihar Flora Expo\u20132082, organized by the Nursery Entrepreneurs Association Nepal (NAN) at Bhrikutimandap, has successfully concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actress Manisha Koirala, the chief guest at the closing ceremony, emphasized the need to preserve indigenous flowers found in the Kathmandu Valley. \u201cRelevant authorities must protect Nepal\u2019s native plants and flowers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology Ganesh Shah described flowers as symbols of friendship, love, goodwill, and respect. \u201cNepal is a country rich in biodiversity, and flowers help foster unity among people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the association, around 40,000 visitors attended the five-day expo held from October 14 to 18. NAN President Ram Prasad Timilsina stated that the expo generated over 10 million rupees in transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the expo featured 70 stalls, including those from the Department of Botany, the Flower Development Center, and various competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event showcased flowering and non-flowering plants, along with agricultural, forest, and herbal products for sale and distribution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
