The sky above my home in Italy valledaosta.\u201d The reaction was mixed.<\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #021122;\">The photo received over 400,000 likes, but many of the thousands of comments on the image called him out on his proclaimed disdain for the setting of our solar system\u2019s trusty star.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #021122;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/revoscience.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SUN-2014-12-19-180523_1-990x450.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3218\" src=\"http:\/\/revoscience.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SUN-2014-12-19-180523_1-990x450.jpg\" alt=\"SUN-2014-12-19-180523_1-990x450\" width=\"990\" height=\"450\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.revoscience.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SUN-2014-12-19-180523_1-990x450.jpg 990w, https:\/\/www.revoscience.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SUN-2014-12-19-180523_1-990x450-300x136.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 990px) 100vw, 990px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #021122;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cDon\u2019t be dumb. Everyone loves a good sunset.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cUsually not a big fan of sunsets, said no one ever except for this guy.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThat\u2019s like not liking the Beatles \u2026\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI bet you\u2019re not a fan of many things.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cGrrrrrr this sunset is making me so angry, puppies, newborns, and kittens are all the same \u2026\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cwtf???\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unterthiner wanted to explain himself, explain why he chose to post that particular image. \u201cI was amazed by the shape of the clouds and the blue spot on the right corner. In fact, he enjoys witnessing the sun sink beneath the horizon. \u201cOn the beach with my wife with a beer in my hand, I\u2019m a lover of sunsets,\u201d he says to me over the phone. But as a photographer, he\u2019s looking for something more complex. \u201cSunsets are boring because everyone is taking photos of the sky getting red when the sun approaches the horizon. A very classic sunset is very far from photography\u2014it\u2019s very close to our memories and our pictures on holiday. It belongs more to your daily life than real photography.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #021122;\">\u201cAs a photographer I always try to have a new view. I\u2019m looking for something which is not just about color. Color can be part of the composition but not the most important part. It can be a nice memory to shoot the sunset in a different way. Don\u2019t make the same picture all the time,\u201d he says.
