PARIS, Feb 26 \u2013<\/strong> The European Space Agency (ESA), France\u2019s National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) and electronic music organiser Cercle announced on Thursday a partnership for the 2026 Cercle Festival, marking the first collaboration between Europe\u2019s leading space institutions and a global music event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival, scheduled for May 22\u201324, 2026, will take place at the Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Air et de l\u2019Espace in Paris-Le Bourget, a site steeped in aviation and space history. Organisers said the partnership aims to combine science, exploration and artistic creation, while engaging new audiences with space-related themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis collaboration reflects our ambition to build bridges between science and culture,\u201d ESA and CNES said in a joint statement. \u201cBy linking space exploration with contemporary music, we can reach international and intergenerational communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will feature three stages set beneath iconic aircraft and space landmarks \u2013 the A380, Concorde and Ariane rocket \u2013 with performances by artists including Eric Prydz, ARTBAT, Ben B\u00f6hmer, ANNA, K\u00f6lsch, Lane 8, Michael Bibi and Adriatique. An immersive \u201cspace dome\u201d will host talks with astronauts and scientists, exhibitions and virtual reality experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot, currently aboard the International Space Station, is expected to deliver the festival\u2019s symbolic opening address from orbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 edition follows a sold-out 2024 festival that drew audiences from more than 100 countries. Organisers said the expansion to three days underscores Cercle\u2019s growing international reach.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
