This included a number of critical manoeuvres such as firing the apogee thrusters, changing the satellite\u2019s orientation and the unlocking of the SEVIRI (<i>Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager)<\/i>\u00a0scan mirror.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"s_1\" class=\"section\" style=\"font-weight: normal; color: #031e31;\">\n<div class=\"img_obj r_img\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Following handover, EUMETSAT will begin commissioning the satellite and its sensors. Commissioning consists of two months of satellite checkout and assessment, followed by four months of imaging and product testing, including calibration and validation.
