style=\"color: #000000;\">A vaccine that attacks the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) may be the answer since GnRH causes sperms and eggs to develop, finds a new study published in the journal\u00a0<em>Current Biology.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The researchers tested the injection on a group of mice,writes Popular Science<a style=\"color: #b8292f;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/hormone-blocking-vaccine-could-sterilize-animals-with-just-one-shot?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0The shot contained a small amount of DNA that can make muscle cells create specialized antibodies to attack GnRH.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It took two months for the mice\u2019s bodies to produce enough antibodies to render them completely infertile.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another advantage of this shot is that it could last for 10 years or more due to muscle cells being the longest-lived in the body, according to Popular Science.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The team is exploring how to block different types of hormones to gauge how effective this shot could be in
