{"id":8417,"date":"2016-04-10T12:08:48","date_gmt":"2016-04-10T12:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/revoscience.com\/en\/?p=8417"},"modified":"2016-04-11T05:11:55","modified_gmt":"2016-04-11T05:11:55","slug":"celebrating-space-travel-day-in-nepal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.revoscience.com\/en\/celebrating-space-travel-day-in-nepal\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Space Travel Day in Nepal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: black;\">Kathmandu<\/span><\/strong><b><span style=\"color: black;\">&#8212;<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0 \u00a0On the occasion of International Day of Human Space Flight, The Brihaspati Bidhya sadan is going to celebrate <\/span><span style=\"color: #212121;\">Space Travel Day in Nepal, on 12<sup>th<\/sup> of April, in Kathmandu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">On April 12, 1961, a 27 year old Russian Soviet Cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, accomplished what everyone believed impossible. \u00a0He became the first human to travel in Space while he circled the Earth for 1 hour and 48 minutes aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">United Nations has declared<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"aqj\">April 12<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>as &#8220;International Day of Human Space Flight&#8221; in dedication to the feet achieved by mankind and to encourage space exploration and International Cooperation in use of space for peaceful purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Nepal has also been celebrating this day for past few years to share a moment of history alongside with rest of the world, said Sailandra Dhungel, the program coordinator, Brihaspati Vidyasadan School, Kathmandu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">According to him, this year also will be celebrating the event on<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"aqj\">12th April<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>with a 2 hours long program with the Slogan &#8220;Our Sky, Our Universe&#8221;. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Details of the program will be a round table discussion with presentations by the following,<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black;\">Nepal <i>Astronomical Society&#8217;s presentation<\/i>, <i>Space and Global Climate- Madan Lal Shrestha, Water &#8211; Adapt Nepal, <\/i><\/span><i><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Possibilities of Modern Satellites Communication<\/span><\/i><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><i><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><i><span style=\"color: black;\">&#8211;
