\"green<\/a>Bonn-<\/strong>\u00a0The Green Talents award 2016, has opened for the young researcher around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Talents competition will address the effects of climate change, pollution and overfishing on the earth\u2019s biggest natural resources, the oceans, in line with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research\u2019s Science Year 2016\/2017, which is devoted to the \u201cSeas and Oceans\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

These issues, as well as the challenges facing our environment in general, demand international research cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGreen Talents \u2013 International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development\u201d was called into life in 2009 by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas from various fields of research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every year, the Ministry honours 25 young researchers with the \u201cGreen Talents\u201d award, under the patronage of Minister Johanna Wanka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since its inception, the award has recognized 157 young researchers and scientists from 46 different countries for their outstanding achievements and contributions to making their communities, countries and societies more sustainable.<\/span><\/p>\n

The award-winners are selected by a jury of renowned German experts and are granted unique access to the country\u2019s research elite.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2016 Green Talents award includes:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

– An invitation to the fully funded two-week Science Forum 2016, consisting of;\u00a0a visit to leading German science and research facilities with unique insights from experts at these institutions;\u00a0\u00a0individual appointments with German experts of the winner\u2019s choice to discuss opportunities for research and cooperation;\u00a0networking opportunities at the 2nd and largest Green Talents Alumni conference to date, to take place in Berlin on 27\/28 October 2016<\/span><\/p>\n

– A fully funded research stay of up to three months at an institution of the award-winner\u00b4s choice in 2017<\/span><\/p>\n

– Exclusive access to the Green Talents alumni network.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deadline for the submission is\u00a024 May 2016<\/strong>,\u00a012 p.m. CET.<\/span><\/p>\n
