An International Biotech-Conference ‘BEST’ will be organized in Kathmandu

Kathmandu­­­– Biotechnology for Environmental and Sustainable Technology (BEST), an international conference will be organized by the Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) on 17-19 December 2022 in Kathmandu.

According to BSN, it is one of the popular biotech events in the country where more than 500 delegates from different countries, including industries, universities, colleges, and institutes are participating.

BEST covers mainly four themes: Energy and Environment, Biotechnology and Agriculture, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Entrepreneurship and Innovations.

Nabin Narayan Munakarmi, president of BSN said that BEST provides opportunities for exposure, networking, and communication, which is an integral part of Research & Development for researchers, scientists, and academicians.

“In three days conference, researchers will emphasize burning issues related to various biotechnology sectors,” said president Munakarmi. “Emergence of Applied Biotechnology and Industrial engineering has opened endless opportunities in multiple demand sectors coupled with creating all-around sustainable development.”

This conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and decision-makers serving in Biological, Chemical, and Physical sciences to present their latest findings with special reference to Energy, Biotechnology, and Industrial research.

“The conference will be delivered with lectures by eminent scientists,” said Munakarmi. “Posters will be presented by students and scholars on the conference theme.”

In addition, BEST is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Kathmandu University (KU), Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), Microbiologist Society India (MBSI).
