Hong Kong—Lingnan University’s Master of Arts in Curating and Art History students have captivated audiences with an innovative exhibition titled Curate the Curious, showcasing their deep dive into the world of contemporary art through six distinct curatorial themes.

From experimental installations to thought-provoking multimedia displays, the exhibition invites visitors to reexamine artistic expression and cultural commentary. Each curatorial theme represents the students’ unique perspectives, shaped by rigorous academic inquiry and hands-on curating experience.

Featured Themes Include:

  • Identity and Belonging—exploring personal narratives and cultural heritage
  • Technology and Society—examining digital disruption and virtual realities
  • Nature and the Anthropocene—interrogating environmental impact and sustainability
  • Memory and Nostalgia—weaving past experiences into present reflections
  • Urban Spaces—reimagining cities through an art lens
  • Interdisciplinary Dialogues—fusing art with science, philosophy, and beyond

The exhibition, held at Lingnan’s campus gallery, serves as a culmination of the students’ academic journey and offers a platform for fresh curatorial voices to resonate with broader audiences.

“As curators, we’re storytellers,” said one participating student. “Through these themes, we hope to spark curiosity and invite people to think differently about the world around them.”

Curate the Curious is open to the public through the end of the month and includes guided tours, artist talks, and interactive sessions.
