KATHMANDU, Dec 30 – Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd. (DFMIEC) sent a senior delegation to Nepal this week as part of efforts to deepen its presence in the South Asian market, the company said on Monday.

The team, led by Chairman Wang Long, reviewed Dongfeng’s operations in Nepal, including market performance, infrastructure and after-sales services. The visit also focused on strengthening ties with local partners and customers, underscoring the Chinese automaker’s long-term commitment to the Nepali market.

Delegates included Zhao Xiaojie, Director of Strategic Operations; Chen Jian, Director of Human Resources; and He Zixin, South Asia Regional Manager. The group assessed current facilities and discussed strategies to expand product offerings, improve customer experience and enhance brand visibility.

As part of the trip, Dongfeng representatives handed over Nammi cars to customers, marking a milestone for the brand in Nepal. The company said the handover reflected its aim to deliver reliable, value-driven mobility solutions and build lasting relationships with Nepali buyers.

Dongfeng reaffirmed its plans to work closely with local partners to strengthen infrastructure, improve service quality and explore opportunities in Nepal’s emerging electric vehicle market.
