Kathmandu, July 30— Ride-sharing platform InDrive honored top-performing drivers in Nepal during a prize distribution ceremony organized in Kathmandu today.
As part of its Platinum Driver-Giveaway initiative, the company presented exclusive awards, including an electric car, a motorcycle, and smartphones, to recognize exceptional service and commitment.
According to the company, winners were selected based on the number of completed rides under the theme “The more rides, the more chances to win.”
Major Highlights:
- Grand Prize Winner: Shubharaj Sunar, a permanent resident of Ward 4, Umakund Rural Municipality in Ramechhap, received a Tata Express-T EV.
- Motorcycle Award: Jeet Thapa of Ward 2, Siddhalek Rural Municipality, Dhading, was gifted a TVS Raider motorcycle.
- Smartphone Recipients: Five drivers—Guttu Pokhrel, Sameer Baidh, Sunny Bist, Rajendra Kumar, and Dhamiram Chaudhary—each received a smartphone.
Speaking at the event, InDrive Regional Director Mark Tulley said, “This would not have been possible without the incredible contribution of our drivers in Nepal.” He also emphasized the essential role drivers play in the company’s success.
Company Director Rita Pokharel added, “With service expansion across South Asia, this campaign reflects our commitment to social responsibility and appreciation for our drivers.” She hopes such initiatives will influence users to value driver-centric platforms when choosing ride-sharing apps.
Award recipients, including Sunar and Thapa, expressed their gratitude and joy, noting that the recognition motivates them to continue delivering excellent service.
The Platinum Driver-Giveaway campaign ran from June 23 to July 13, and is expected to strengthen driver engagement and reinforce InDrive’s brand presence in Nepal’s rapidly growing ride-sharing market.
